Since I can't bear to handle anything personal (like clothes and knick knacks), I decided to tackle the easy, non-personal tasks like cleaning the laundry room and the linen closet. There was laundry that had been sitting in the hamper in the laundry room for at least 4 years I am sure. I think, as a rule, anything that sits in your hamper for more than a year is meant for permanent disposal.
The linen closet is a much more fun task than the laundry because I can finally throw away expired medications, foul lotions, and crazy-looking bedsheets from the 90s.
The TV repairman is on his way. I will soon have TV/DVR again and I think it is going to help me a lot. Although, I've listened to a lot more music since the TV has been broken. Right now, I am listening to "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" soundtrack.

Glad you are doing this blog. It seems very therapeutic. Makes me feel like Cindy is still here in a way when reading it. I am proud of you and in awe of your strength. I know Cindy was a special person but you are pretty amazing too.
Take the cleaning one step at a time. It isn't ever going to be easy, but it may be better if you wait until you feel stronger. My Mom emptied Dad's closets, but I handed over the bags of clothes to donate them. And it about broke my heart.
Glad you threw the lotion out instead of bringing it in to the bathroom at work. We've got enough hazelnut and blueberry supreme to last for another 5 years.
